Synopsis:
In an American town undergoing a construction boom, a working man enters a romantic relationship with a Russian acrobat visiting an apartment. Following a trapeze accident, Micha (Yury Paulau) has a broken leg and goes around on crutches. The two men meet every night in the apartment Christophe (Sébastien Ricard) has bought hastily. The two lovers cut themselves off from the outside world, at the heart of winter, and explore their lust without restraint. 'The Acrobat' is a fiercly sexy drama, a no holds barred look at an unbridled animal connection between two unashamed men.

Was it Love or Lust - The Acrobat review by CP Customer

interesting film that for the first 90 minutes flew by, but then as it reaches its denouement it began to sag and the ending I found rather flat.  The acting from the lead actors was excellent and the starkness of the sets added to the mystery!  Well worth a watch but could it have been better?

Excellent Gay-Themed Movie - The Acrobat review by WH

I must admit-having seen the trailer-I was a bit sceptical about this movie. Well- I was very pleasantly surprised. The acting is very convincing- lets face it there are some things you cannot fake! And the characters were totally believable. It was well directed and edited - and- always a sign of a good movie- I was hoping it wouldn't end. Although over 2 hours long - it never flagged. All I would say is that although extremely interesting for a gay male audience- I have my doubts as to its wider appeal. But if you fancy a good night in with a DVD and a drink- THIS is the one to choose.

Refreshing story about two men sharing an interesting time in a half finished high rise flat in a cold and wintry Canadian City. I was enjoying this until the last 15 minutes or so. Some call it art but I just don't enjoy endings that don't have a tight and satisfying conclusion. A great shame.
