As war rages in Europe, Ariana flees to New York in search of a new beginning. This incredible epic follows the tragic yet inspirational life of Ariana Von Gotthard (Nastassja Kinski), a woman who gains strength and courage as a young girl coining of age in pre-war Germany. As the daughter of an upper-class Berlin family, Ariana watches her family and her country torn apart at the hands of impending war. Aware of the dangerous political climate, her father helps Ariana s brother to escape to Switzerland. He returns to rescue Ariana, but he is brutally killed as a traitor. Unsure of her father's and brother's fate, Ariana is now truly alone. She seeks comfort in the arms of a German soldier, but the harsh war claims him as yet another victim. Pregnant with his child, Ariana realizes she has nothing left from her past but her late mother's signet ring. She decides to flee to America to start her life again. - Actors:
