Synopsis:
Nine classic British thrillers.

The House in Marsh Road (1960)
A spirit haunts a house on a lonely country road. The house is inherited by Jean Linton (Patricia Dainton), whose husband, David (Tony Wright), is an unreliable heavy-drinking would-be author. Believing the house to be valuable and wishing to inherit, David plans with local lady Mrs. Stockley (Sandra Dorne) to dispose of Jean. But the house has other ideas.
The Trollenberg Terror 1958)
A series of decapitations on a Swiss mountainside appear to be connected to a mysterious radioactive cloud.
Fire Maidens from Outer Space (1956)
A team of astronauts lands on a moon of Jupiter to find it populated with beautiful young women looking for mates. An old man explains to the explorers the group's story, as well as the moon's dangers.
Tread Softly (1952)
The star of a London musical walks out before the curtain up, but the show must go on in a haunted theatre, The Regency. 40 years previously, the star of Hamlet was murdered, and more are dying to keep a dark secret.
Blood of the Vampire (1958)
A man and wife are terrorized by Mad Scientist Dr. Callistratus (Donald Wolfit) who was executed but has returned to life with a heart transplant. Along with his crippled assistant Carl (Victor Maddern), the 'anaemic' Mad Scientist, believed to be a vampire, conducts blood deficiency research on the inmates of a prison hospital for the criminally insane to sustain his return to life.
The Fall of the House of Usher (1950)
A traveller arrives at the Usher mansion to visit his old friend, Roderick Usher (Kaye Tendeter). Upon arriving, however, he discovers that Roderick and his sister, Madeline (Gwen Watford), have been afflicted with a mysterious malady: Roderick's senses have become painfully acute, while Madeline has become nearly catatonic. That evening, Roderick tells his guest of an old Usher family curse: any time there has been more than one Usher child, all of the siblings have gone insane and died horrible deaths. As the days wear on, the effects of the curse reach their terrifying climax.
