Synopsis:
Two episodes of the 1980s children's animated sci-fi fantasy series in which the Galaxy Alliance fights the dark forces of evil throughout the universe.

A Storm of Meteors
Mongo has a bad dream about perishing in a meteor shower. When he awakes, he's informed the Explorer is enduring a storm of meteors. In the assault, the Explorer is badly damaged - his perfect chance to attack! With the Drule fleet approaching, Newley orders the engines full speed anyway. While Voltron is launched to take care of a robeast, Mongo chases the Explorer to the Planet of Meteors. The Explorer lands on the planet for repairs and Voltron returns to stand guard. Another assault of meteors is headed right for the Explorer so Mongo leaves thinking it's doom for the Alliance forces, but Voltron manages to block enough meteors with the blazing sword to afford safe passage for the Explorer.
Help Not Wanted
The Explorer needs to repair its stellar cable, so while waiting for Captain Keyo to arrive with his support fleet, Hawkins stops the ship near an asteroid belt to perform the repairs. Jeff and his team are out scouting the area when a Drule attack fleet is discovered to be attacking Keyo's fleet. Jeff takes his team to the scene of the attack but the five ships are little help. At Keyo's request, Jeff reluctantly leads his team back to the Explorer. As the fighting worsens, he disobeys orders again and heads back to Keyo's aid, this time with the other two teams in tow. He's too late to save Keyo however, arriving only in time to see the Captain's ship destroyed by a Robeast.
