Detective Constable 'Dangerous' Davies is so called not because of his dangerous effect on criminals, but because he cannot step outside the police station without inflicting irreparable damage upon himself.
His Inspector assigns him to keep tabs on a local villain but Dangerous has other ideas. He becomes intrigued by the unsolved murder of a teenage girl, so decides to re-open the case - unofficially. After surrounding himself by the lowest of lowlives he eventually realises that the solution to the mystery has been under his nose all along.
