- Synopsis:
- "Lion Country" follows the exciting work of conservationist David Youidon. Based in Antelope Park, a 3,000-acre game reserve in Zimbabwe and Livingstone in Zambia, David and the team prepare captive-bred lions for release into the wild. During the series we get to know members of the park team and their feline charges. Assuming the position of alpha male, David helps the lions to re-discover the essential hunting skills of stalking, capturing and killing prey. When their programme is complete, they are released into a massive 10,000-acre managed reserve. Have the lions learnt enough to survive in this dangerous environment?
