When a boy is abducted by a mother grizzly bear after hunters capture her cubs, boy and bear bond as she teaches him how to survive in the Canadian Rockies. Following a series of rollicking death defying adventures - tracked by hunters, attacked by wolves, stampeding buffalo, raging rivers and rapacious hunters - the boy is reunited with his father who rescues the cubs, returning them to the wild and their mother. The story is played out in the turn-of-the-century Wild West where the father (Bryan Brown) takes his son, (Daniel Clark), on a grizzly bear hunt, with the intent to capture the beast alive. He hires a native tracker (Tom Jackson) who befriends the boy, and a rather nasty hunter (Oliver Tobias) who teams up with a group to help track the grizzly. - Actors:
