Synopsis:
Turning convention on its head comes Trilogy by Lucas Belvaux. Three films presented in three different cinematic styles, this stunning debut unravels over a 24-hour period and operates on the principal of cross encounters. Weaving a tapestry that is effortless yet complex, Belvaux invites us to spend this time in the company of three different couples - each taking centre stage for the duration of one film, and appearing in minor roles throughout the other two. Individually, these films have the power to shock, move and delight in equal measure.
Treated as a whole, however, Belvaux's ingenious exercise in genre revisionism will alter your perspective on events and broaden your understanding of what you think you see. Either way, Trilogy is a completely unmissable experience. One is a thriller, Two is a comedy and Three is a melodrama.
