Just one of the many tributes paid to spike Milligan when he died in 2002. From the Goon show to his solo work in series such as Q and The World of Beachcomber - not to mention his film work, novels song and childrens poetry - Milligans zany surreal and unique style made its indelible mark and changed the face of comedy. His fan base was huge, and ranged from fellow comedians to Prince Charles. In a special live BBC-TV tribute, comedians Harry Enfield, Eddie Izzard, Terry Jones, Paul Merton, Michael Palin and Eric Sykes, actors Kathy Burke and Stephen Tomkinson, musicians Cleo Laine and The John Dankworth Quintet and political correspondent John Sargeant combine forces to present an unforgettable selection of comic highlights from the life of Milligan, from re-creations of his most famous sketches to readings from Milligan's own poems and controversial wartime memoirs. Interspersing their actions are archive film clips of Milligan himself, showing his inimitable comic genius.
