Synopsis:
After recuperating from a gunshot wound to the head, Gulf War veteran Jack Starks (Adrien Brody) returns to his native Vermont suffering from amnesia. When he is accused of murdering a police officer and committed to a mental institution, a physician, Dr. Becker (Kris Kristofferson), puts him on a controversial treatment regimen in which Starks is injected with experimental drugs, confined in a straight-jacket, and locked for extended periods in the body drawer of the basement morgue. In his drugged and disoriented state, Starks' mind propels him into the future, where he meets Jackie (Keira Knightley), and discovers that he is destined to die in four days.
Together, they search for a way to save him from his fate.

Not to bother - The Jacket review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert

Although the acting of the characters was as to be expected, i found the storyline to be quite hollow and the writing lacked inspiration.

Could have turned it off but really was waiting and hoping for it to pick up....it didnt.

Just a rehash of other time travel films - The Jacket review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert

The problem with 'The Jacket' is that really lacks any form of originality, you get the feeling it's a film solely made from borrowing ideas from other time travel based films, but itself doesn't make any effort to improve on those ideas. Even fine performances by Adrien Brody and Jennifer Jason Leigh are overshadowed by a dull screenplay which virtually gives away the ending about 30 minutes in to the film.
