Synopsis:
Former Metropolitan Police DCI Colin Sutton spent 30 years in the police force, a career that saw him lead many of the most high profile and successful murder investigations of his generation. In this feature length programme, Colin and his team take the viewer through the investigation into one of the UK's most prolific sexual offenders in history, with a reign of terror that spanned almost 20 years. Nicknamed 'The Night Stalker', Delroy Grant would burgle the homes of the elderly and sexually assault them before disappearing into the night.
He went undetected for 17 years but was finally arrested in 2009, only 7 months after Colin Sutton was brought on board to lead a review of the case and 17 days after his new plan had been launched. In 2011, Grant went on trial charged with 29 offences and was convicted of all of them. Police believe he is responsible for hundreds more.

Reviews (1) of The Real Manhunter: The Night Stalker: Delroy Grant

The final companion piece to the excellent Martin Clunes series, regarding Delroy Grant - The Real Manhunter: The Night Stalker: Delroy Grant review by TB

Spoiler Alert
05/05/2023

In the second of the two companion documentaries to the ITV series Manhunt, Colin Sutton talks about his final case and the capture of Delroy Grant, the Night Stalker whose horrific crimes over more than 15 years terrorised the elderly and vulnerable all over South and East London.

Again, it is a thorough documentary with great interviews, but again ruined by the music playing over incessantly whilst people are talking, which is a major distraction.

Well worth watching after you have watched the Manhunt series.
