- It's a deadly game of cat-and-mouse in the Dolomite mountains with high-octane thriller, 'Zip Wire'. Watchable Nonsense - Zip Wire review by Alphaville
Two women are stuck on a zipwire in the Dolomites while baddies try to get at them. It’s a refreshingly welcome and ambitious set-up for a British movie, even though it’s filmed in Cyprus. Unfortunately, despite some dramatic moments and some gory action, the drama is more laughable than tense. The characters are bland and the studio backdrops are obvious. Our heroine(s) could at least have had a backdrop of mountains rather than boring blue sky as they swing back and forth. Plus the plot is padded out with unnecessary scenes, especially at the end when the zipwire action’s over and done with. A 2-star film with an added star for ambition and a good laugh.
