It's Eddie Murphy in this gut-bustlingly funny movie that displays his comedic genius in multiple roles! Murphy stars as mild-mannered Norbit, who gets a second chance at love with his childhood sweetheart, Kate (Thandie Newton, The Pursuit of Happyness). But there's one huge obstacle: jealous, mean-tempered Rasputia (Murphy), who wants Norbit all to her sizeable self. Can Norbit win the heart of Kate ... before Rasputia puts the hurt on him?
Sometimes making fun of fat people can flop

Most people have seen Eddie Murphy playing his multiple roles (including very fat people)in the nutty professor movies. He is clearly able to be funny and can play many characters well. But this time was not one of them.
This is probably one of the most "least funny" and "waste of time" movies I have ever seenn, a real disappointment. Eddie co-wrote and produced this film but the magic of the former funny fat movies has long gone.
It is supposed to be a typical story of boy loses attractive virginal girl, boy finds fat mean girl, marries her and then finds his dream again, once his fat girl turns bad. But it just doesn't work for me at all. The dialogue is difficult to follow and it is painfully slow.
Sorry Eddie but you flopped on this one, and you cant blame the fat lady.
