The eighth series of Steptoe and Son would be its last, the 1974 Christmas special that followed it becoming the 57th and final episode. The series that had changed the face of British comedy remained as hilarious and poignant to the end including such memorable moments as Harold discovering just what the butler saw; Albert eating pickled onions in the bath and the fabulous waterbed affair.
Episodes Comprise: 1. Back In Fashion 2. And So To Bad 3. Porn Yesterday 4. The Seven Steptoerai 5. Upstairs, Downstairs, Upstairs, Downstairs 6. Seance In A Wet Rag And Bone Yard
Brilliant TV comedy.

Steptoe & Son was one of those rare things, a sitcom which progressively got funnier and funnier with each series, and considering this series is fast approaching 30 years in age it proves that good comedy is ageless, it's just as funny today as probably was to those who saw it when it was first broadcast. The picture quality was surprisingly good with a nice clear, sharp and colourful image and looked terrific upscaled on an HD screen.
