When a film director takes a popular young actress to the countryside to discuss a new role, they stop at an isolated restaurant known for its privacy and discretion. But what they don't know is that the owner is a recluse and social outcast with a very dark secret. Jealous of the starlet's beauty and insulted by her disdainful treatment of him, he ruthlessly strangles the director and imprisons the girl in the basement. Trapped and alone, her mental state is pushed to the verge of madness. Does he want to torture her, use her for sex, or does he have an even darker agenda? Concerned over her apparent disappearance, the starlet's sister contacts the police.
