Rent Superstition (2001)

Based on a true story, this is a dark and supernatural tale of a young English nanny accused of witchcraft and murder. When young nanny Julie (Sienna Gliulory) takes up her new position with a wealthy Italian couple, things are not what she expected as she is sexually harassed by the husband. Suddenly the baby in her charge is found dead from a mysterious fire - thus begins a nightmare as she is branded a Witch by the press on her arrest. But the supernatural occurrences do not stop there and a series of further unexplained fires begin. Has she been possessed? Has she some rare uncontrollable telepathic abilities? With the help from her lawyer Gabreli (Mark Strong) and former psychiatrist Mother Frances (Charlotte Rampling) they have to try to prove her innocence. In the final unveiling of the shattering events from Julie's past the terrible truth is revealed.
