- Rich and successful, with friends in high places, Luke Carter has his life cut brutally short by an unknown killer. The prime suspect is Angela, Carter's beautiful wife and the sole beneficiary of his will. But Deputy Attorney Taylor Lewis isn't so sure. Angela swears she's innocent and Lewis is still tormented by the memory of a case when he condemned the wrong woman to jail and then covered up his mistake.
