- On August 20th. 1973, police were dispatched to the remote farmhouse of Thomas Hewitt, in Travis County, Texas. What they found within the confines of the cryptic residence was the butchered remains of 33 human victims, a chilling discovery that shocked and horrified a nation. Now, for the first time, the only known survivor of the killing spree has broken the silence and come forward to tell the real story of what happened on a deserted rural Texas highway, when a group of five young kids inadvertently found themselves besieged by a chainsaw-wielding madman. One who would leave a trail of blood and terror that would forever become known as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".

A pointless remake, rent the original instead - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre review by CP Customer
Take Tobe Hoopers' 1974 horror classic screenplay, cast some pretty faces, remove the key scenes that made the original so shocking, and what you get is a mindless teen slasher, popcorn flick. If you want to be scared, rent the 1974 original.

very very scary! - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre review by CP Customer
this film is whats wrong in the world. deranged people who need to be dealt with. nevertheless in this remake we see some kids whose only mistake is to stop and ask a stranger is she ok.
i wont spoil but just to say dont be alone when you veiw this film it is so horrible, bloody, and inhumane its unfunny, but films like this arnt meant to be funny and when i say this one is not funny i dont lie. watch out for the pycho sherriff, and the old man in the house. and the woman in the caravans deep in the woods.
get this dvd now it will bloody scare you to bits
