Did you know that people carry the legacy of the Titanic, and even the Big Bang, in their pockets every day - in the form of a mobile phone? Or that a connection exists between Egyptian mummies and today's ham and cheese sandwich? Surprising links between the past and the present are revealed as 'Big History' explores 13.7 billion years of history and asks questions like: Was the American Revolution driven in part by a biological thirst for caffeine? Crisscrossing through time and space, each 'Big History' episode uses cutting-edge visuals and graphics to reveal transformative relationships between science and history.
