- Lisa Hollis' (Molly Ringwald) dream of becoming a singing sensation is fading fast. Expensive voice lessons and cheap demo tapes are leaving her frustrated and broke. While performing one night in a dingy Paris nightclub, Lisa's lyrics strike a chord in the heart of Charlie Hunter (Patrick Dempsey). An eager songwriter himself, Charlie proves to Lisa that as a team, they make beautiful music together.
