Alan Bleasdale (Boys from the Black Stuff, GBH and Jake's Progress) presents a new view and insight into the timeless tale of the boy who wanted more. Inspired by Charles Dickens' original text, he begins the story - often overlooked by other adaptations - with the chain of events which lead to Oliver Twist's anonymous birth in the parish workhouse.
