- Synopsis:
Carter (Adam Rothenberg) and his younger brother Ellis (Ethan Peck) only have each other. Living in a trailer in New Mexico, their daily lives are mundane and lonely. Their lives are shattered however, when Ellis is diagnosed with leukemia - a bone marrow transplant from a matching donor being his only chance of survival. They decide to return to their childhood home to find the abusive father they left many years earlier, in the hope that he'll be a match for Ellis. As they embark on their journey, they meet Krystal (Mariah Carey) a local waitress who dreams of becoming a singer. Fleeing her loveless marriage, Krystal agrees to drive with them on their fateful road trip and along the way, unforeseeable events unfold which tightens the bond between the three travellers. - Actors:
