Joanna (Katherine Ross) reluctantly moves with her husband and children from New York City to the suburban community of Stepford, Connecticut. But when life in Stepford begins to seem too perfect, Joanna and her new friend Bobby (Paula Prentiss) investigate a mysterious conspiracy among the town's husbands. Are this suburb's women happy to be vapid homemakers or is there a more shocking secret behind the domestic perfection of The Stepford Wives?

- The Stepford Wives review by ss
I first saw this film when I was about 13 on TV.... And I was memorised by it.... I've seen it many times since.... The remake is terrible and trys to make a comedy out of it I would advise to stay clear... This film to me is enthralling a slow burn throughout and a sense of dread that something is not quite right in stepford... Watching it recently I was surprised that it doesn't look that dated especially as it was made in 1975.....when Katherine ross goes to a doctor and says "she doesn't want to end up like some robot in disneyland"..... You realise that at the end of the film which to me is terrifying and still gives me goosebumps......
