A personal history of movie making from Sir John Mills, who has made his own filmic diaries whilst on-set of many classic pictures, between 1946 and 1971. His private films, in colour even when the feature itself was only black and white offer an alternative chronicle of film making and involve such hit films as 'Dunkirk', 'Ice Cold in Alex', 'Tiger Bay', and 'Scott of the Antarctic'.
