Synopsis:
The strongest comedic cast in history has united to become the strangest superhero team ever in 'Mystery Men'. They're a ragtag team of superhero wannabes that includes Mr. Furious (Ben Stiller), The Shoveler (William H. Macy), The Blue Raja (Hank Azaria), The Bowler (Janeane Garofalo), The Spleen (Paul Reubens), Invisible Boy (Kel Mitchell) and The Sphinx (Wes Studi). When Captain Amazing (Greg Kinnear) falls into the hands of evil madman Casanova Frankenstein (Geoffrey Rush) and his disco-dancing henchmen, there's suddenly a chance for the aspiring superheroes to show what they can do in this hilariously funny and thoroughly original misadventure.

Possibly the worst movie in history - Mystery Men review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
22/10/2005

On paper it must have seemed like a sure fire winner. Take a group of bumbling group of misfit wannabe superheroes and have them save the city from the evil Casanova Frankenstein. The problem with 'Mystery Men' is that it just isn't funny, sure you'll get the jokes, understand the punch lines, but you won't even crack a smile. It tries to parody the superhero genre of films, (which for the most part don't take themselves seriously anyway), and ends up being the butt of its own joke. The trouble is the creators of this film concentrated too hard on hiring an amazing cast, and then did nothing else. Mystery Men really is nothing more than a two hour endurance test, see how long you can get into this film without wanting to hit the eject button! Quite possibly the worst film I have even seen.
