- Synopsis:
- A National Emergency grips the US as the zombie population grows at an alarming rate. Two S.W.A.T. officers, a helicopter pilot and his girlfriend escape the city and take refuge in an abandoned shopping mall after securing it following a series of flesh-shredding confrontations with the undead. Their survival is threatened when a band of looters leave a door open allowing the zombies access to the mall once more and a final stand-off for survival must play out.

Not to be Missed - Dawn of the Dead review by SY
I really enjoyed this movie and didn’t want it to end. Non-stop action from the get go with fun practical effects used to depict the gore and violence. I found the film really immersive and particularly liked Ken Foree’s character Peter (you always felt safe with him). One of the best films I’ve seen in while.

Still a must-see classic for all horror fans - Dawn of the Dead review by AER
Baddddddddd SFX withstanding, George A Romero's Dawn of the Dead is still a stone-cold horror classic. Wonderful set-pieces and zombies that just won't let go once they have a grip of you! I don't have to write much more because if you are here you are probably revisiting it because you loved it when you first saw it. Many zomibe films these days are filled with people who can despatch a zombie without thinking about it and they carry very little threat. However, as silly as they look with their grey faces, the zombies in this are still deadly and their uncanniness stays with you. Dawn of the Dead still has power - the remake is also one of the very best horror remakes of all time too, and it very near eclipses it if it wasn't for the sheer number of characters in the later one.
