From here, the complex tramway of the Vicinal takes adventurers to the final port of call in the ancient town of Bruges. Found across the canal from the city of Zeebrugge, today Bruges is one of the best-preserved medieval centres found in Europe. Filmed over twenty years ago and now available on video for the first time, the series of European Railway Journeys films explores the many varied cultures and countries across Europe, travelling by train which gives a different perspective to the cities and towns visited on the way.
