- New Orleans...a serial killer known as 'The Surgeon'...a trail of mutilated corpses, their internal organs removed with a chilling and clinical precision. On the case, Detective O'Connor (Parker Posey) visits the scene of the latest slaying and discovers the victim has two hearts and bones as solid as rock. As the mystery deepens, O'Connor's search leads her to a mysterious stranger. His face and body a patchwork of scars, he claims to be the creation of a crazed scientist. With mounting horror, O'Connor begins to realise the sub-human stranger standing before her could hold the key to the serial killer's identity...
