- Synopsis:
- During a theatrical tour in Sweden, three actresses, Liz (Bibi Andersson), Marianne (Harriet Andersson) and Gunilla (Gunnel Lindblom), perform the main roles of Aristophanes comedy "Lysistrata". And such as Lysistrata, Myrrhine and Kalonike, they vigorously defend women and claim the right to be understood more sensitively, to be associated with their husbands' affairs, to assert their freedom. And while the ancient comedy takes place on the stage, each of the three young women begin to dream and transpose in Sweden today their personal discomforts or the feminist demands that are close to their hearts.
