- Synopsis:
- For nine years, Stuart Gunn (John Waters) has been a hard working and ambitious economics lecturer, who dreams of achieving worldwide fame through a revolutionary PhD thesis. Barbara Gunn (Jacki Weaver) is Stuart's long suffering wife. She has given up her career to care for their three young sons and she is suddenly set to rebel. She wants to return to the workforce and earn a university degree so she insists that Stuart hires a babysitter, so that she can fulfil her ambition. Barbara decides to hire Erik (Steven Vidler), a good looking young man from Denmark as the family babysitter. Erik's presence turns out to be interesting, and Barbara gets more than she bargained for.
