To escape their haunting memories, Rachel and her son start a new life in a small Oregon town. In a desperate, life-or-death battle, Rachel must confront Samara once again to save herself and her son.
A decent sequel
- The Ring Two review by CP Customer
As a rule sequels to horror films are notoriously bad, but 'Ring Two' is surprisingly good. Unlike most sequels 'Ring Two' doesn't try to out do its predecessor by being bigger and better. It's a well written and subtle film, which like its predecessor, takes its time getting into the story and hooks you not with false scares but with intelligent characters, sharp direction from Hideo Nakata, and wisely avoids the storyline from the Japanese 'Ring 2' in favour of a screenplay by Ehren Kruger. Overall, 'Ring Two' is a pretty decent sequel, not as good as the first film, but if you enjoyed 'The Ring' it's definitely worth renting. Also, make sure you check out the excellent short film 'Rings' in the extras!
