Robert Montgomery and Carole Lombard star in this sparky marital comedy directed by Alfred Hitchcock. David and Ann manage to keep happily married by following one rule: should they quarrel, neither one was to leave the bedroom until they had finally made-up. Sometimes this rule kept David away from his law office for a week, but his partner, Gene Raymond, did not complain. After one such session lasting three days, David and Ann finally make up and he goes to his office. His first visitor is the man who first married them, who informs David that, owing to a technicality, he and his wife are not legally married.
