Outsider in a strange land

Renee plays a high-flying career executive, sent to a remote Minnesota factory to scale back production. The assignment comes as a culture shock, going from the warmth of Miami to the rural bitterly cold wilderness of redneck country. The locals are set in their ways and view her arrival with great suspicion, and rightly so. The set up reeks of Local Hero, albeit from a romantic lightweight stance, set in Fargo country. There are a few laughs as the predictable events unfold coming mainly from the workers rather than Renee or Harry. The musical accompaniment is lacklustre yet the actual film is a tad better touching on average.
