Short fused and foul-mouthed Detective Sergeant Rydell King (William J. Kulzer) is investigating a series of multiple killings. Teenage students, both girls and boys, selected at random have been bludgeoned and slashed to death. King decides that the killings are the work of one maniac serial killer nick-named "The Black Angel" and he suspects campus party animal, Jimmy Scott (Kevin Costner) to be the murderer.
The common link between the victims soon becomes apparent - the female victims were all attractive co-ed's supplementing their income by working at night as hookers who also spent a long time getting all steamed up in the campus showers. Life at Dorothy College will never be the same - with fear and suspicion running high, students are scared and the shower room is not quite as steamy as before.
