Second season of the iconic 50s/60s detective series created by Blake Edwards and featuring episodes written by Robert Altman. Suave, sophisticated and unlike anything seen before on TV, Peter Gunn was a new kind of detective - the ultimate in cool sophistication. The show featured a handsome, dashing and consistently well dressed Peter Gunn who hung out a trendy jazz club crossing paths with hit men and hoodlums alike. Ably assisted by his long suffering police contact Lieutenant Jacoby, busting the bad guy was all in days work. Starring Craig Stevens as Gunn and Lola Albright as his girl, Edie, Peter Gunn was a highly innovative and influential show. As well as boasting Henri Mancini's twangy hit theme song, it also featured witty dialogue, snazzy fashions and elaborate camerawork.
