Synopsis:
Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston star in The Break-Up, which starts where most romantic comedies end - right at the point where they are driving each other crazy! Pushed to the breaking-up point after their latest 'why can't you do this one little thing for me?' argument, Brooke (Aniston) calls it quits with her boyfriend Gary (Vaughn). What follows is a series of remedies, war tactics, overtures and undermining tricks - all encouraged by the former couple's friends and confidantes...and the occasional total stranger! When neither ex is willing to move out of their shared apartment, the only solution is to continue living as hostile roommates until one of them reaches breaking point.

Inconsistent - The Break-Up review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
06/03/2007

I couldn't decide if I was watching a dramatic film with elements of a comedy, or a comedic drama. I don't think there are enough funny moments for it to be classed as a comedy. The first half hour to forty five minutes where my favourite, I was laughing along and feeling for the characters. However, once it drew to the middle to the end of the film, I was a bit bored. The performances from Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn where average, like the rest of the film I guess!

Too close to home ;) - The Break-Up review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
24/03/2009

This film came in the post the day after my husband & I had been having a discussion about some of the issues that come up in The Break Up! Just general stuff like clothes not being picked up, washing up not being done for 3 (yes 3!) nights in a row!! So we found it quite funny & no joke, the past few days after watching this film my husband has been a lot better with making sure he is helping me out more in the house!

Definitely more of a chick flick, but also good to watch with your partner for a lazy evening in with some popcorn & a glass of wine!

Would reccommend for anyone looking for a light, easy to follow film.

Well Observed - The Break-Up review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
11/02/2007

Not as 'laugh-out-loud' funny as we had expected, but that's no bad thing. This is an extremely well-observed film where probably men and women watching will laugh at different bits! Definitely worth a look for all who are, or who have been, in a relationship. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
