After Sal (Gael García Bernal) loses his wife Zoe in a crash, he sinks into despair. His sister Ebe (Bérénice Bejo) works for Aeternum, which offers Another End - a service that uploads a deceased person's consciousness into a living host. Reluctantly, Sal participates and meets Zoe, now embodied in Ava (Renate Reinsve). They rekindle love under a ticking time limit imposed by the program. As Ava begins retaining Zoe's memories, Sal tries to extend their sessions, complicating Ebe's job. Boundaries blur when Sal and Ava pursue a clandestine romance. Eventually, Ebe is dismissed for her involvement. In a bittersweet turn, Sal and Zoe/Ava share a final intimate moment before the program ends - smiling together as another end arrives. - Actors:
