In The name Of Boredom! - In the Name of the King review by CS

Spoiler Alert
06/12/2008

This is clearly a straight to DVD film, which if you had seen it at the cinema would have had you asking for your money back. This film is so bad, that we only watched the first half an hour and had to switch it off. Like watching a very badly made Sky TV Fantasy Series. This is like Conan the Barbarian, except in the 80's that style and the effects were acceptable. In the 2000's you expect a film that is up to date with quality effects. The monsters really do look like men in suits, the script is awful and with some big name actors in, they look like they are bored and going through the motions. There are no Subtitles in any Language, and spoken Language is English only. So if you are hard of hearing, like I am and need subtitles, this is one to miss. This is unacceptable for a film made last year and Cinema Paradiso should really only be suppirting films that do have subtitles, not only to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act, but also to appeal to a broader audience!!
