- Synopsis:
- Charlotte Ellis (Nastassja Kinski) is a devoted mother, caring for her five children alone, following the departure of her cruel, alcoholic husband Roger (Gabriel Byrne). To make her situation worse, her son Leon (Johnny Whitworth) is going off the rails. A freak accident results in Charlotte's untimely death. Leon is distraught and blames himself but when Roger returns to care for his broken family, events take a fateful turn. A tale on one family's struggle to move on from the past and stay together against the odds.
