Synopsis:
Blind Franco Arno (Karl Malden) and journalist Carlo Giordani (James Fransiscus) unravel a tortuous mystery combining industrial espionage, secret sexuality, grave robbing and genetic dementia in Dario Argento's visually dazzling study in psycho terror. And when Arno's young niece is kidnapped, the nerve-jangling stakes increase to breaking point. Thrilling camerawork and shattering slaughter mask the identity of a crazed manic desperately trying to remain hidden in the sinister shadows of the medical Terzi Institute.
The beginning of the Italian Hitchcock's obsession with guilty eyes and razor-sharp blades, the train carnage and infamous skylight-crashing climax are signature examples of what the future Suspira director calls 'Violence as Art'.
