- Adapted from an acclaimed short story by Anton Chekhov, Ward No. 6 is a compelling and powerful cautionary tale of one man's descent into madness. Updated to a contemporary setting and utilising a semi-documentary approach, the film charts the existential crisis and subsequent decline of Dr. Ragin (Vladimir Ilyich) from chief psychiatrist of a mental institution to asylum inmate.
