On a deserted road, sixteen-year-old Juan crashes the family car into a telegraph pole. He sets off in search of spare parts, but in this sleepy Yucatan town his options are limited. An older mechanic and his dog Sica don't seem to be too bothered to help; young mother Lucia is more interested in Juan himself and young mechanic David is mostly obsessed with martial arts. As the day progresses, Juan finds out that he is not as alone as he thinks and the encounters help him to deal with a recent loss.
