Documentary filmmaker Robert Mugge explores the juke joints of Mississippi in this fascinating documentary, tracing the origins of the blues down to the nearly extinct clubs where many bluesmen first made their names. Actor Morgan Freeman introduces us to his own club, which attempts to recapture some of the original spirit and passion of the old juke joints, sparking a lengthy voyage of discovery for Mugge and his team.
