A chilling message that draws five seemingly disparate characters into a dark tale of blackmail and desire. A blind recluse with an unusual hobby, a love-struck telekinetic dwarf, an embittered hook-handed clown, a murder—obsessed man-child, and a deranged but caring midwife all receive the same ominous message sending their already bizarre lives into turmoil. For those that missed Psychoville's brief 7 episode run on BBC2,here's your opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. Born out of the ashes of the classic League of Gentlemen, Psychoville offers a unique mix of characters, each with their own dark secret. Slowly the forces bring the original cast together, leaving you wanting more. Dawn French is particularly menacing as a nurse fostering a doll as if it was alive. Too often TV is criticised for churning our bland shows or rehashing American ideas, Psychoville is an example of original British talent.
