Western starring Lee Marvin. When outlaw Harry Spikes (Marvin) is wounded in battle, he is rescued by two runaways. While in recuperation, Spikes tells the boys of his many adventures over the years, and his stories inspire them to form a gang of their own, with Spikes happy to fulfill the role of leader. But after robbing a few banks, the boys, like Spikes, are now wanted dead or alive.
