started watching this film with no idea of what to think or expect.film was okay ben kingsley was good in it as usuall but pretty pointless story and a bit unbelievable.not much to say really.okay if ure an alcholic and can relate to it but apart from that dont know who this film would appeal to.

Surely only Kingsley could have made an alcoholic murderer both empathisable and extremely funny. At no point is it overstated and the humour runs deep. The romance is fortunately fairly incidental and adds to the plot rather than slavishly following the hollywood checklist.
