Back in 96 it was hard to believe Burton managed to get funding for this science fiction romp and the cast he assembled to portray the unique characters. Unlike his more classical offerings, Mars Attacks pushes the characteristic vision in another direction. Everyone involved seems to be having a great time, fighting the alien menace with plenty of blasting, great effects and slime. Mars Attacks at its core possesses a B-movie quality but has hasn't aged at all.
