This sprawling epic production chronicles the life and times of one of the primary shapers of American independence and government: the second President of the United States, John Adams (Paul Giamatti / Steven Hinkle). While his new nation was suffering attacks from both within and without, John Adams had a vision of a nation of liberty and justice for all. He guided his peers - General George Washington (David Morse), Benjamin Franklin (Tom Wilkinson) and Thomas Jefferson (Stephen Dillane) - in setting the values and agenda for a glorious, free America.
