Grim - Monster's Ball review by cr

Spoiler Alert
03/06/2025

This is a romance between a death row guard and the wife of an inmate he just excuted.

This isnt a comedy.

Starting with a 45 minute execution scene by way of the death of a child to suicide, racism and bigotry it just keeps piling the misery on.

All of the people in it are flawed and unpleasant.

Halle berry won an oscar but we all know oscar choices rarely mean good viewing for casual film fans.

Too grim unless this is your kind of thing.
