Synopsis:
Director Spike Jonze delivers a stunningly original comedy that seamlessly blends fictional characters and situations with the lives of real people: obsessive orchid hunter John Laroche (Cooper), New Yorker journalist Susan Orlean (Streep), Hollywood screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Cage), and his twin brother Donald (also Cage). As Charlie struggles to adapt Orlean's best-selling book "The Orchid Thief," he writes himself into his own movie. The various stories crash into one another exploding into a wildly imaginative film. .

Fantastic and Nuts - Adaptation. review by Charlotte

I can't explain the plot, it's too confusing. Though it is kind of about orchids. If you like 'Enternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and similar watch this.

Too clever for its own good. - Adaptation. review by Shatner's Bassoon

I'm usually a fan of 'Charlie Kaufman' written films, and while the idea of a story within an story is a clever one this just comes off as being a bit too clever for its own good.

high hopes dashed. - Adaptation. review by GW

It's definitely not an eternal sunshine or a malkovitch. Too clever for its own good, not funny and another film that just makes me want to thump nicholas cage.
